1989년에 Ecclesia라는 이름으로 시작된 '샌프란시스코 매스터코랄'은 한인 동포들의 격려와 사랑으로 성장해왔습니다. 매년 정기 연주회를 통해 한인 사회의 문화적 가치와 정체성을 드러내며, 특히 미국과 한국의 문화 교류에 선두에 서는 북가주의 대표적인 한인 합창단으로 자리매김을 해왔습니다. 매년 60여명의 단원들은 풀 오케스트라의 반주에 맞춰 웅장하고 화려한 무대로 유명 클래식 작품들을 선보입니다.  또한 성가곡, 한국가곡, 민요등을 함께 연주하며 한국 문화의 아름다움을 미국 내 한인 사회 뿐만 아니라 다양한 관객들에게 알리는 역할도 수행하고 있습니다.  이들의 화음이 우리의 후손들에게도 소중한 문화유산으로 전해지길 희망합니다.

 

Founded under the name 'Ecclesia' in 1989, the San Francisco Master Chorale has thrived through the encouragement and affection of Korean compatriots. Each year, through regular concerts, they reveal the cultural values and identity of the Korean community, assuming a prominent role as a leading Korean choir in Northern California that fosters cultural exchange between the United States and Korea.

With the accompaniment of a full orchestra, the ensemble of around 60 members graces grand stages, presenting renowned classical works. Additionally, they perform sacred hymns, Korean art songs, and traditional folk tunes, thereby not only acquainting the Korean-American society but also various audiences with the beauty of Korean culture. It is hoped that the harmony they create will serve as a treasured cultural heritage for our descendants.
