All About Me
Mr. Chong Jin Kim, a conductor, music composer and currently, dean of music department at Oikos University in Oakland, California. Mr. Kim also works with SF Korean Master Chorale as a Music Director. Mr. Kim earns a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Chung Ang University in Korea. His education continued at Karsruhe School of Music in Germany with Mr. Webber and Khabarovsk State Institute of Art and Culture College in Russia with Nokolay F. Scherbina. Mr. Kim has served on the Chief Conducting faculty at Yan San Youth Orchestra, KOAsia Orchestra and Gim Hae Symphonic Orchestra in Korea. Mr. Kim was guest conductor of the Toyohashi Youth Orchestra and World Festival Concert Takamatsu in Japan. Mr. Kim was the Artistic Music Director of the Seoul Art Center and TBC Network, in addition to teaches at Conservatory of Music in Dae Goo, Korea. Mr. Kim wrote the Opera “Dynastic of KARAC”, “Busan Arirang” which was performed at Apec Summit Meetings in Korea. He also composed “Dancer of Dream” performed at World Cultures Open Festival in Singapore, “Cello Concert No. 2 for Orchestra in C minor” in Japan addition to Symphonic Poem “Garam” in Japan.
